We have compiled the below information to assist any clients or people affected by the bushfires. Please pass on this information to anyone you may know that have been affected. We are here to help in anyway we can in the recovery process.
NSW Business Chamber has released a number of resources to assist businesses impacted by the bushfires and these can be found clicking on this link.This includes a Disaster Recovery Toolkit complied by CPA Australia which we are members of.
The Federal Government has announced that up to $75,000 is available to farmers, fishers and foresters. This is to cover costs for immediate and emergency needs not covered by existing insurance policies. Further details can be found clicking on this link. The Federal Government announced on the 20th of January assistance for small business affected by bushfires in the way of $50,000 in tax-free grants and loans of up to $500,000. The loans will be up to 10 years and set at 50% of the 10 year Commonwealth government bond rate – currently 0.6%. There will also be a repayment holiday of up to 2 years, with no interest accruing during this period. Further details can be found on this website.

Xero is happy to apply subscription relief to any affected accounts with current subscription cost credits and or free future billing periods. They will need the names of any affected Xero organisations and if possible the email addresses to help us locate the subscriptions in their billing system along with a short request on how we can help best.
MYOB has pledged its assistance. In a bid to support customers directly, MYOB chief executive Greg Ellis revealed MYOB will waive two months of subscription fees for impacted customers. Customers who’ve experienced any setbacks as a result of the fires are encouraged to complete an online claim form and share any ongoing needs for their business.
